MARQUEE Sydney | The Star

The grand opening of MARQUEE nightclub Sydney at The Star is finally here March 30. This will be Sydney's first mega-club located on the entire top tier of The Star's new Pirrama Road harbourside entrance.  The acclaimed nightclub operator Tao Group is responsible for some of the most popular "mega-clubs" in Las Vegas including Tao at the Venetian, LAVO at the Palazzo, and of course Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan. A clear indication that The Star is determined to bring a taste of Las Vegas right to the doorstep of Sydney Harbour.

The club will have a capacity of up to 1200 people, featuring three unique rooms within the one venue. The three spaces will include the Marquee Main Room, BoomBox Room and The Library.

To name a few A-List stars for the grand opening night include Paris Hilton, Ashlee Simpson, Red Foo - LMFAO, Nick Lachey, Kellan Lutz, AND Will.I.Am from the Black Eyed Peas & Jermaine Dupri will be headlining the official launch on Saturday March 31st to the public.

Mind, Body & Soul at Hopewood

Have you ever thought of wanting to get away with your girlfriends or on your own to unwind from your busy lifestyle? Well Hopewood is just right for you! On Australia Day long weekend my girlfriend and I decided to getaway just to rejuvenate.

We found Hopewood a health retreat centre which specialises in natural healing, delicious vegetarian food, relaxation, stress management, nutrition and weight control, gentle exercise, first class massage and beauty pampering. 

Hopewood is located in Wallacia, just 1 hour before The Blue Mountains in Sydney

So we decided to choose the "Indulgence for You" 3 nights package which includes a pampering treatment.  Hopewood has been around for over fifty years, surrounded by bushland, the fresh air, the peaceful sounds of the bellbirds made us feel so calm and relaxed already upon arrival. The staff were always happy and helpful, our room was pretty large and included a balcony.  

Our typical day began with a freshly squeezed fruit juice (this is optional but you can wake up really early and go for a walk), 8:30am breakfast is served. The food at Hopewood is all vegetarian and NO caffeine or alcohol or junk food allowed - I am a big coffee person and I was missing it with my breakfast :(

We did aqua aerobics in a heated pool of course, played tennis, went biking riding, Yoga, relaxation massage treatments, just unwind in The Silent Garden, went for a walk, did some painting, reading, oh and how could I forget we worked on a 500 piece puzzle.

We couldn't finish the puzzle - this was called "The Blue Puzzle" all because of the sky colour :(

Lunch was served at 12:30pm, delicious vegetarian food. Check out some of their recipes.  Our favourite time was the vegetable soup served at 4:30pm and then dinner was served at 6:30pm. Afterwards we can do whatever you like...

Here is a tour of Hopewood - You can choose from so many Packages available from 7-10 nights to 2 night's mini escape. I highly recommend this place to all my friends who want to getaway and cleanse themselves.

I hope you get to find a place like this near you wherever you are in the world because it's great to go and try something different if you are in to the outdoors, health and fitness.

Dior Addict Extreme Australian Launch

Happy Friday!

I love working in the CBD because on the 19th March Dior launched its new Addict Extreme be iconic Lipstick 12-shade & Dior Vernis Nail Enamel 4-shade Range also to compliment the new Miss Dior Eau Fraichè Dior for women fragrance, just simply stunning.

On my lunch break today I quickly got a mini makeover by Dior at Sydney Myer by the lovely Beauty Consultant Natasaa (02) 9238 9128, I have to say she knows her products and was so outstanding with her hands, she is a perfectionist!  Wrote down all the products used on my face from using the Capture Totale, the Pro-Youth Skincare - Sorbet Creme, boy did that lift up my skin I felt like I was glowing, she gave me my own personalised Skincare Program card.

I got back to work and so many people were complimenting me on how gorgeous my makeup was done. It looked flawless and natural, I loved it. On my lips, she used number 316 Incognito – my lips felt so smooth.  One of the girls loved my eyelashes, she thought I had fake lashes on when I told her NO its the new Dior “New Look” black mascara! I am definitely going to purchase that, it was my favourite!

Lunch Date with Jamie Oliver

Friday lunchtime with the girls from work we all decided to go and have a lunch date with Jamie Oliver Italian Restaurant in Sydney. I loved all the little details from the entry, passed the bar, open kitchen, bookshelf full of Jamie’s recipe books, walking up the stairs, our cosy little table, and Jamie’s napkin.  We had to get in there early due to NO BOOKINGS NECESSARY!

For starters we had FAT GREEN OLIVES ON ICE, these large juicy green olives, black olive tapenade & crispy "music bread". YUM if you’re an olive fan! For drinks BOTTLEGREEN SODAS your choice of cordial topped off with sparkling mineral water. Image taken were Strawberry and Aromatic Lime flavours – very refreshing!

Here comes the main... we tried FISH BAKED IN A BAG (Local fish of the day with clams, mussels, fennel, chilli, anchovies & Sicilian cracked wheat), WAGYU BRESAOLA & BEET SALAD (Balsamic beets with chicory, pea shoots & fiery grated) and BURGER ITALIANO (Wagga Wagga beef with fontina cheese, salami, soft lettuce, tomato salsa, dill pickles, chilli & fried onions) topped with FUNKY CHIPS (fresh garlic and parsley). All of the main dishes were so filling we had no room for dessert :(
