Whitney Elizabeth Houston (1963-2012)

I know this is all over the blogosphere and internet but I just had to write my own tribute to pop queen Whitney Houston in honour of her talent. I was so stunned to hear about her passing away when I was attending a baby girls Christening day, I logged onto Twitter and read Jermaine Dupri’s message – I couldn’t believe it till I read it on CNN News for confirmation.

I'm sure everyone has their own connection to Whitney's songs but I suppose I can say 'I will always love you' was one of the first songs I learned after watching the movie The Bodyguard! Her voice was magic.

Lionel Richie said, “She was just a gift in voice”! Her voice had range, power, steely control, and incredible dynamics and on top of that, each syllable was delivered with a delicate, divine touch!

In honour of one of the best female voices of our time, Rest In Peace – the world will always remember you.
