Happy Birthday :: Audrey Hepburn

Dear Social Friends,

Happy Friday and Happy Birthday to my favorite actor Audrey Hepburn, you will always be remembered!

Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian. Audrey Hepburn is one of the world’s most famous actresses of all time, remembered as a film and fashion icon of the twentieth century.

One of my all time favourite classic movies of Audrey Hepburn is of course “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” released in 1961 romantic comedy about Audrey Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naïve, eccentric café society girl filmed in New York becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building...

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her 'beauty tips.'

It was read at her funeral years later.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
